Wednesday March 7, 2012 was a truly memorable day for Apple history. Apple announced that they would be releasing their iPad 3 on March 16.

Apple held a media event at the Yerba Buena center for the Arts in San Francisco where they introduced both their iPad 3 and an updated Apple T.V. set-top box.  Many improvements have been made to better the iPad and all of its features. This new version is said to have a sharper, higher-definition display. In addition, rumors have been spread according to Fox News that there will be, “a new touch-screen technology.” In other words, the true texture of the object on the screen will feel as it really does in reality.

Apple is taking photography to a higher level with the iPad 3. A majority of the high-resolution pictures are going to look more defined than ones on the previous iPads due to a supposed better camera. These cameras are going to have 5-mega pixel backlight, illuminated censors, and five stage lenses.  A final new aspect consumers are hoping for is a 4G wireless connection, which will allow the iPad to use faster wireless networking. With this wireless networking, the new iPad will be a hotspot for connecting up to five devices including MacBook Air, an iPod touch, or another iPad. Despite their differences, the iPad 3 will have similarities to the previous iPads. They will both be sold for the same price, as well as have the same screen size. The price ranges from $499 for a 16GB, $599 for 32 GB and $699 for 64 GB.

The improved Apple T.V. set-top box, also introduced at the media event, is now going to be able to stream video in full, 1080p high definition. From the outside, the previous and new set-top box are identical. However, on the inside the more developed version will contain Apple’s A5 processor, which differs from the older product. This is what will allow the new T.V to allow streaming from Netflix,Youtube, Vimeo, and iTunes, a technique desired by Apple users.

Although many rumors have been spreading, they will soon come to rest when society is able to purchase the iPad 3 on March 16 and create their own opinions. According to the rumors, no one will be disappointed.
